A Little Life Update (and What’s Next)
It’s been a little while since our last blog post, so I wanted to pop in and share why.
Mid last year, we welcomed our second son, August Vance, into the world and life has been beautifully full (and a little chaotic) ever since. August (or Augie, as we call him) is a very happy little guy who loves to smile and watch his big brother race around at top speed. Cooper, in turn, loves him so hard, and Callan and I have been soaking up every moment of watching their relationship blossom.
Over the festive period, we took some much-needed family time and headed off camping to Lennox Head. Days were spent swimming, eating good food, and doing a whole lot of nothing. It was just what our family needed and the kind of reset that only sunshine and saltwater can give.

But alas, the holiday haze has lifted, and with it comes some exciting new beginnings (and a few challenges too).
I’m stepping back into my role at Aha Creative as a Brand and Strategy Designer, while also taking on freelance design projects as they come along. I’ll be balancing work with caring for Augie a few days a week, and setting some intentional goals for the business as we head into 2026.
This year, I want to refine my offerings further, provide more valuable insights into design for small business, and share more of me in the process. Aha Creative has always been human-led, and I’m excited to lean into that even more… more creativity, personality, and a fair bit of goofiness included.
